No beep tone before greeting - BCM400

Long time listener, first time poster.

I have a BCM 400, generally things are going OK. Occasionally when people call an extension they do not here the 'BEEP' after the greeting - either the system greeting or the personalized greeting. This causes confusion as someone does not know if the voice mail is recording or not.
I have seen this problem mentioned but no fix was shown.

We are running a BCM400 ver 4.02.03a.

The first point of troubleshooting these days is patches.
Make sure you have all of the current patches installed.
