Chances are that one of your cards (or even processor) is not seated properly. Also check your memory. IF you are getting no post beeps at all, chances are that one of the vital items (CPU, Video Card or Memory) is not making contact.
I have seen certain board/case configurations that anytime the chasis was opend, enough flex would be induced into the board to cause something to pop loose. Usually, I had to reseat everything (including the processor) before I could get the system to boot.
Be sure there is nothing grounding out anywhere either. Also, be sure no dust bunnies escaped your notice and are connecting two points - this will also cause a ground. although extreme - it is possible none-the-less.
Also, check the MB's capacitors for any sign of rusting, etc.
I read on another forum that a user simply wiped the rust off the top of a capacitor, and the system booted successfully.
However, if this is the case, then get a new MB, as yours will not be long for the world.
