Hi Everyone,

We currently have an AVAYA SBCE behind a Cisco 5512 via DMZ with the required ports open. The IX Workplace App can register through the outside, we have presence running , when we initiate a call there is no audio unless the call is placed on hold.

We noticed the RTP packets through a trace in the SBC are pointing from the SBC to the device's private IP Address. Where the SIP messages are pointing to and from the SBC to the device's public IP Address.

In the IP Office though monitor we are seeing 0 RX RTP packets.

Another question is should the media interface port range for the B1 be consistent with the A1 and the IP Office? Or should we have separate port ranges on the B1 and the A1?

Thank you in advance.

Can you explain this a little bit more:

We noticed the RTP packets through a trace in the SBC are pointing from the SBC to the device's private IP Address. Where the SIP messages are pointing to and from the SBC to the device's public IP Address.

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to say here.

Do you have sip transformations turned off on the cisco?
what version of ip office are you running?

We figured it out. The public IP address wasn't entered on the B2 in the SBC under Network Management - Networks. After a lot of digging from AVAYA docs I found out that it needs to be entered if the SBC is NAT behind a layer 3 device. Thank you guys for the assistance. Hopefully this can help someone else out.

Thanks for posting the resolution. Pink for you.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
