Hello,
Recently, I was forced to reformat and reinstall Server 2003. I installed my sound card drivers fine but was getting no sound. I then realized that I forgot to enable windows audio service. I enabled this and uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers for the sound card. No problem, drivers install fine; however, I still have no sound.
I also tried a usb sound card to see if there was a problem with the other sound card; however, the usb drivers install fine but the card produces no sound as well.
When I attempt to enter volume control I get this message: "There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, click Printers and Ither Hardware, and the nclick Add Hardware. This program will now close."
When I attempt to access Control Panel: Sound and Audio Devices, no sound cards are listed under the audio table. However, they are under the hardware tab and installed successfully in the device manager.
Not sure what I am missing here!
Please help!
