We recently ported two exsisting number to our PRI, but I cannot get the personal greeting to pickup when the phone in not answered unless you dail the ext number by way of general delivery mailbox. if I dial the seven digits(last four being the ext) the greeetig answers as I want it to. please help me solve this.

DID you make and assign target lines for the sets? You know the extention pickes up VM internal so it's something with the lines or targets.

what do you mean when you say that the phone will not go to v-mail unless you dial by way of the gd mailbox? as cook1082 stated if the proper vm grtg is picking up internally it has to be a target line issue so pick a target line assign it to your set program the recd# and prime set# the last 4 digits that the lec gave you and you should be good.

Interesting thing here...you cannot dial extensions from the General Delivery mailbox, only the Auto Attendant greetings. Maybe the DID calls are going to the Auto Attendant first. Look in your voicemail programming to see if the target lines are being answered by voicemail. If you haven't programmed target lines at all, the caller would get a busy signal because the digits don't know where to go. So just from the fact that you can get to voicemail at all means you have the target lines built, just not assigned to the sets. Let me know if that works please or what you did to fix it.

What are your CFNA, CFB and CFA settings for suspect DN?
