Hi all,

With one employee, when he receives a phone call and does not answer, that phone call is going to our receptionist and not to his voicemail.

I have these settings for him:
FWD No Answer: 6729
FWD Delay: 10
FWD Busy: 6729

6729 is the number for voicemail. Reception answers at either 6564 or 6727. I'm not sure what is going on, any ideas?

If its a transferred rather than DID (Direct Inward Dial) or another Target Line call I'd say your FWD Delay is too high and the Transfer Callback Timer (Feature Settings) is set less than that. It never gets the opportunity to get to voicemail.

You can lead a horse to water but you can make glue out of him too.

I set the delay from 10 to 6 and it worked the way it should. The call back timer though is set to 4 rings?

Is this a new mailbox? Has the user recorded his greeting? Greeting has to be recorded to initialize the mailbox until this is done calls will still roll to operator.

Yeah, he has his primary greeting recorded. He says that it has been fine, until yesterday morning the receptionist reported 3 calls doing this. Then as he told me, I called his number and the same thing happened.

So after changing the delay from 10 to 6, I hope this wasn't a fluke. I'll hear one way or another.
