No Answer Call Forwarding on DBS 576 HD

Okay, so I am understanding that in order to have a no answer do call forwarding that a few things must be in place.

First a system speed dial must be saved. I have done this.

Then dial from the handset 723#SSD

The display phone says the no answer call forward is in place, however when I try to transfer a call to that phone, it will return to me after about a minute or so.

What else do I need to do to make someone's phone forward out when there is no answer?

I think your using the wrong forward. There should be a separate forward code named "Forward to External" or some such.
