No 'Alert Me' Action Link in Portal for Some Users

Some of my users do not have the Alert Me action link displayed under the list of actions on portal pages.

Is the Alert Me action dependant upon an option somewhere that needs to be enabled?

Hello,

If you have set individual user rights on certain areas, i.e not placed your users in any of the site groups (Member, Content Manager etc...) then the alerts function will not be displayed since it is not supported to use the alert me function if you are added with individual rights on an area. Not sure if this is the problem in your case, but I noticed it when I setup individual permissions on areas in the portal.
