I have tried all over MS's support newsgroups, but they always either answer with a question or redirect me to someone else who answers with a question. So here I am hoping someone knows what's going on with my NNTP server configuration...
I'm getting the following error message when posting to a
password-secured nntp newsgroup with iis 4.0:
Outlook Express could not post your message.
Subject Test message , Account: Servername ,
Server: 'NNTPSRV', Protocol: NNTP, Server Response: '441
(620) Article Rejected -- Insertion into group (null) of
article (null) failed.', Port: 119, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 441, Error Number: 0x800CCCA9
I have narrowed down the problem to a file size issue.
Certain user accounts are only allowed to post files with
a maximum size of 4KB, and other user accounts can post
any size (Administrator accounts, for example).
The file size limit in the NNTP Settings in MMC is set to
1000kb, so that's not where the problem is coming from.
Is there some NTFS directory permissions that are set wrong in the nntpfile directory?
Any other ideas what might be causing this? Thanks.
