Greetings,

I am new to HP Openview software, and i'm trying to set up some new nodes on our supervision platform, and i've been having some problems... I would like to know if someone can help on the following issues or point some place where to get that information... HP manuals are useless!

The issues are:

1) I need to integrate some nodes into supervision platform.
The nodes are Linux with net-SNMP package.
I was able to set those nodes into NNM and poll their details, but i dont know how to setup the events to send them to ITO.
I need some help on how to do that in general and/or some more specific information (with openview's agent or with net-snmp package).

2) I've been getting an alarm in NNM that i cant find info on how to solve it...
Severity: Major
Details: pmd lost contact with starship: pid XXXXX ungracefully disconnected from pmd with 0 pending events: Error on socket #53 src:starship pid:XXXXX: Lost connection with pmd/ovEvent process (application disconnected)

Can anyone help on solving this?

Regarding to issue 1) if you could help on setting snmp nodes and nodes with agents i would appretiate a lot!

Best regards,

==
