My network has 3000 segments, each with a small
number of devices on each segment (don't ask why, pls).
Everything works fine except ovrequestd is almost always
running between 80-100% CPU. This is on HPUX11i, with
NNM6.2 and the Consolidated Patch3 applied. 4GB RAM
in the box, 1 CPU. I know ovrequestd moves data to the
Data Warehouse and generates reports, which I can guess
is taking a lot of horsepower with 3000 segments. When
I do an ovstop, the last message I see for ovrequestd
is "out of memory". I'm guessing that I need to increase
a kernel parameter, maybe ovrequestd is asking for more
resources that the kernel is set up to give it. Anyone
know what kernel parameter to adjust, or have you seen
this problem before ?
Thanks
Bill
