I have NNM running on NT and have audible alerts for events such as Node down. I am implementing a new bow (XP Pro) and NNM 6.4. I am having trouble with the audible alert. I am getting a security association error when I receive events. The errors are coming from XP and not HP-NNM. I have reviewed the security settings and am stumped. Does anyone have experience with this?

More Info:
I have “ALLOW_ALL” in the trusted.cong
I’m trying to use action “mplay32 /play /close C:\Program Files\HP OpenView\NNM\audiofiles\Nodedown.WAV”

I figured it out. I have to give credit to the help files intalled with NNM this time. The new and correct action string is:

mplay32 -play -close C:\\Program Files\\HP OpenView\\NNM\\audiofiles\\Nodedown.WAV

XP requires you to “escape” the backslash
