Dear all,

As a beginner of OVO, I would like to ask :

local site oversea site

NMS <-----------> NMS <-------------> Agent(device)
| (Wanted data)
|
|_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _|
Is it possible to do that?

If it possible to collect data directly from the oversea's Agent to local NMS without via through oversea's NMS. (since, the data may not be stored at the oversea NMS' database)

Will it make any different if the Agent does/dose not support SNMP? Since NMS use SNMP to communicate with its' agent. Is that right?

Thank you for your help.

regards,

You can direct agents to pass data to any OVO server I don't, however, think you can get an agent to send data to two servers at once. So no - I think it will have to go through the overseas OVO server before it gets to your OVO server. Mike
