Hello,
I'm running NMS 4.15 on a windows NT 4 server (sp5 I do believe). We're migrating off of there to exchange 2003.
The pop-3 service on NMS keeps crashing every 5 to 15 minutes. It has been for a few days. I used to crash once or twice a month (just what the server has always done. Netscape couldn't figure it out either). I found this in my default log in NMS (quite a few times)
[23/Aug/2004:10:35:19 -0500] mail perfmon[216]: General Warning: Unable to open mta counter object
In my application log in NT4 I found a message saying:
Event ID 2001 in source nsctrs
When I look that up on eventid.net it says something about a corrupt event log file?
I've checked and my message queue is fine. I've run a full virus scan and nothing was found. My DNS is fine. My pop log file in NMS shows absolutely nothing (it's set to Debug) except logins and logouts for POP3. No errors.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you very much...
