NLB two CAS Servers 3

Hi,

I have two CAS servers; both servers are also so HUB servers.

On server1 I have auto discover, OWA & OAB and they all work fine.

I have now installed NLB between both servers and edited the autodiscover dns entry to be the virtual IP.

When I stop all the Exchange & IIS services on server1 autodiscorver does not failover to server2 and my Outlook 2007 clients cannot use OOF.

Did I miss a step !!

Windows load balancing or something else, like a hardware balancer?

What do the logs say?

Hi,

Yes Windows 2008 NLB, used a spare nic on each CAS server to create a Virtual Name & IP

you have to set all the web services urls to the nlb name on each node.

also just take one node offline in the nlb management to test it.

Agree. 2 boxes called node1 and node2 will have FQCN os cas.domain.com.

Set the name cas.domain.com in Exchange where you see node1 or node2.
