Hi there...I'm configuring NIUs to make CIL through V24. No problem in 5 MDs, but I have one with a strange problem:
I can do an IOEQI to its third v24 port, with usage=OUT, but when I try to make the CLDFI with USER=NONE (for NIU v24 CIL).....

NOT ACCEPTED
ETHERNET INTERFACE
NOT ALLOWED
!!!!!!!!

Ehternet Inteface????

I verfied with niuxx that the port is correctly configured.

What can it be?? I'm going crazy!!!

These are the commands:
IODDP:
NIU - 001-0-30 - - IN SERVICE
NIU TERM1 001-0-30-1 - MML - 7
NIU TERM2 001-0-30-2 - MML - 7
NIU TELNET 001-0-30-4 - NETWORK/MML - 7

IODDP;
NIU - 001-0-30 - - IN SERVICE
NIU TERM1 001-0-30-1 - MML - 7
NIU TERM2 001-0-30-2 - MML - 7
NIU CIL 001-0-30-3 - OUT IN SERVICE
NIU TELNET 001-0-30-4 - NETWORK/MML - 7

IOEQI:IODEV=CIL,EQU=1-0-30-3,USAGE=OUT;
EXECUTED

IOIFC:IODEV=CIL,IFACE=V24,BAUDR=9600,WORDL=8,PARITY=NONE,STPBIT=1,PROC=ECHO;
EXECUTED

CLDFI:FILE=TARIF,IODEV=CIL,USER=NONE,PRIO=C;
NOT ACCEPTED
ETHERNET INTERFACE
NOT ALLOWED

Tryed the same configuration but in port -2, and the same error !!!!!
Board restarted with RFBOI and with start nif all (niux), and programs ILNP,ILCP,DCTAP,DCTPP,TWP2,TWP3,IPP,CLPS1,CLPS2 and CLPS3.

No results...

Any idea???

Even though it is a long time ago, I think that USER=NONE is not correct. It has to be USER=CIL-1 or similiar.

Hi
it is from alex
USER format
D1D2D3-D4D5
where D1D2D3
is Application name (CIL is only valid user name for Call Information Logging )
D4D5
0-99 member identification

Try USER=CIL-1;

Totally agrees with DOKTOR & RFPUI....
USER=NONE is strictly for Network interface...

BR,

aprasha
rename CIL to NIU-CIL and it will work
DUFQI

First of all, thank you all for helping!!
Well....

for doktor, rfpui and singhbrindisi:
From Alex :
CLDFI, Parameter USER >
"The parameter states a logical name for an application. Parameter value NONE is only valid when using V.24 ports on an NIU board for SMDR/CIL output."
I tryed with CIL-1, and it worked, but I'm afraid it will cause problem later...or trying to have CIL throw V24 and through Ethernet (like I have in one MD working fine...).

for DUFQI:
Tryed IODEV=NIU-CIL and still the same problem :-(

By the way, version: BC10

More ideas??

Thx you all indeed.
