NIU CIL Problems 2

I have read quite a few threads on this issue but most are two years old.
We are looking at virtualizing our server used for call accounting. We needed to remove the call data collection from serial connection and it has been moved to network connection.
Having the same problems that many of the older threads experienced. Namely the Alarm 344 CIL, FAULTY CONNECTION TO NIU . I have changed the file to send one record at a time DMPSIZ 1 and put the heartbeat check in the file. This has reduced the number of times the device/state goes passive and stays passive and typically resets the alarm in 2 1/2 minutes. Overnight and on weekends when we are at minimum traffic it will go and stay passive. Have there been patches done, updates to NIU2 boards that I could be missing that has alleviated this issue altogether. Personally I want to remove the heartbeat check and send data in bigger dmpsiz format.

Configure CIL on HDU & have peaceful sleeps.
We did the same when forced to implement Virtualization of billing server.

How / what connections do you need hooking in with the CIL on HDU. I know how to create switch side not sure on what billing system needs?

Create a billing folder:
CLDFI:FILE=CIL1,PATH=/SYSN/USR1/ACS/CIL,USER=CIL-1,PRIO=A;
CLOHI:FILE=CIL1,FORM=2,DMPSIZ=4,DISCR=0;
CLODI:FILE=CIL1,DIAL=***;
CLTGI;

fidapATH=/SYSN/USR1/ACS/CIL/*.*;
USR1 is tested solution in case of any restart on the NIU board, it doesn't loose the records etc.

Do a FTP connection from your Billing server to NIU specifying the IP / User name & password to log in..

Specify the time interval of above FTP connection between the server & MD.

Specify deletion of HDU/Flash records upon retrieval of billing data.

I have Ringmaster Optimiser billing & different applications have there ways to set the above..

You don't require any hardware for this as long as your licence from ericsson has the capability.

Also, In case of any network issue, all records will continue accumulating on the HDU & will be processed at the next FTP connection.
