NIS Question

I have a NIS question...

We have a Dell Network Appliance that is talking with an F50 via NIS. For some reason, the 2 won't play together nicely. When we update the users on AIX, is there anything I need to do to refresh NIS with the updated ?

The Dell is not getting the updates from the F50 and I am at loss as to why.

Are you yppush ing the updated maps out after making a change ?

Is your Dell a slave or a client server ?

Is Dell running ypbind process ?

Does Dell know where the master server is ?

Dell is a client.
yppushing ? not yet. Network folks won't let us set up a domain.
Dell is running a cut down version of Win2K - it is a "Network Appliance" Dell NAS.
