NIS problem

Any clue about this error?

# ypset < NIS Master or Slave Server >
i.e ypset VENUS
Gives me error :
Sorry, ypbind on host venus has rejected your request.
As ypset is not working, ypwhich is also not working. But ypwhich -m gives me listing of all maps with ypserv i.e. VENUS.
I used ypmatch to check database containts & containts are ok.
Because of this it gives me error NFS server not found etc.
I am using automounter with this. So autofs & nfs mounted F/S are not getting mounted.

Hi

Have you pfs / nfs mounted anything as this went wrong with me once and i had to bounce the box as it caused a similar error.


as a result after rebooting both boxes all was ok.

I just re-installed NIS, now it's working fine.
But, I don't know what was the problem.
