NIS client does not have all NIS accounts

I have two linux servers; serverA and NISserver.

On serverA I run a ypwhich and it responds with NISserver. On NISserver, I can do a ypcat passwd and grep for userA and it finds it fine, however on serverA, the same command does not report any results.

I've noticed that several users are missing for some reason. Does anyone have any idea as to what the problem could be?

I've restarted ypbind, but that doesn't help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My NIS won't publish uid's below 500? That was the problem that I had.

For some reason the NIS client was pointed at the wrong NIS domain. The problem has been resolved.
