NIS 2005 zipped files

I happened to be doing a Search for Zip files and the results list showed many, many zipped files for NIS.
Here is one of them:
C:\documents&Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Live Update\Downloads"

Has anyone found similar zipped files on their computer?

Would anyone know what all these zipped files represent and whether they must remain or can they be deleted.

Sorry for re-post, but wonder if anyone has an answer for my original post. I counted the zipped files and there are 280 of them.
