Hi, weird thing, when I allocate spot, lpp_source and mksysb to a p630 (5.1 ) it seems to have issues with accessing the spot at the end of the installation. It can't copy the Cu* and run bosboot and complains that /etc/filesystem is zero sized becuase it can't write to the file system.

The files in the spot on the NIM server are owned by bin:bin with perms 550. The NFS export on any spot I try to allocate is /export/spot51 ro,root=host9,access=host9 (sorry, from memory).

What could be the problem here? I just started here but my colleagues tells me that they have never seen this problem before with this NIM server and they can't figure it out either?

Any help appriciated.

I'm not sure.

I would start by verifying the mksysb is good. I would also verify the target 630 has enough disk space for rootvg.
