NIM Network boot ?

HI,

I have two RS6K IBM machines, and one of them is configured as NIM master. The lpp_ressources, dd-ressources,
and the spot ressources seems all right.
SO, I have my NIM client configured, and I perform a BOS installation.
My client machine, which was running, reboot (configured for a first network reboot), and he download
from the serveur the ./tftpboot/hostname.info
But after that nothing happen ??!!!!

Please is there somebody to help me !?

Are there any LED's ? flashing 888 any messages? 618? 613?
what level of aix.........would be helpful...

Hi aixqueen

When I perform a BOS install from de NIM master, the client rebboot, download the boot image, perform IT, but after the message "number of processor : 1" and "device : /pci/0x8000..." I have an error : "validation error : the "
test-method" client interface service does not exist". I do'nt understand ? The client machine stop at yhe level F05.
I have another error on the nim master during exevution : they do'nt found the directory of spto1, but the spot ressource seems correctly installed. I thing is due to my several install of spot...

I can help you to if you give use some info about your NIM server messages - have you for example a message like execution successful ? "Unix, it's like French : nothing is impossible"
