Is it possible to test a mksysb backup on the Master server?

I have recently installed NIM and have only the one development box to play with. Once satisfied I would like to add all 'live' boxes to the environment. Currently when I run the nminit command using the same name for both client and master i get

"this command may not be executed on a NIM master"

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mon

All I know about it is this: you can't make a NIM master a NIM client. Our NIM scripting checks for the master filesets before doing much else, and they must be removed before we can NIM the client. Another irritant is that NIM masters do not particularly like having more than one network interface. You will have to test your NIMing on other machines, meaning they all have to have different names.
