NIM - Default gateway problem

I've created a NIM Master on an AIX 5.2 machine and have lpp_source, spot, and mksysb resources for AIX 4.33, AIX 5.1, and AIX 5.2 (All with no maintenance levels). I'm having no problems with AIX 4.33 and AIX 5.2, but when I try to NIM a machine using AIX 5.1 resources, the machine does not completely configure TCP/IP after installation. The default gateway field is left blank. Is there any reason this would be happening? Is this a known issue? I could just fix this problem in a script resource, but I'm NIMing machines in several networks. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
