nim - can't reset a client

I tried to perform a bos installation using an mksysb image held on a nim server. I could not boot from my gigabit ethernet adapter, and so had to boot into maintance mode, alter the bootlist and reboot. Now when ever I try to perform an action on that machine I get a message saying the state of the machine prevents this from happening. I can reset nim from the client, but I can't from the server.

Any ideas would be apriciated.
