I have a 6x16 ksu with a 2 port startalk flash. Right now I have it setup so it rings on all phones 4 times then AA picks up. What they want to do is at night after the last person leaves, they want the AA to pickup after 0 rings. I programmed the manual night service to the recpetionist phone, but when I turn on night service, it just make the the reception phone the only one that rings, I might have done something wrong, but I have a few questions, How do I make the startalk the extention that rings when nightservice is on, and how do I make it pickup after 0 rings rather then after 4 rings when night service is on. I am willing to try a different setup if it would be easier. The first part of the FAQ nightservice confused me as it doesn't quite match my older software so I couldn't figure out how to do the first part about removing the 221 extention. Is that the control set? Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I can remember all my old 6x16 DR programming, but I think by default 221 is the only phone that rings in Night mode. If you change that to, or add the Startalk DN (Feature 985), then incoming calls will ring on the Startalk and be answered immediately (0 rings)

Actually, go into ITEM 6, under ADMIN, which is service modes on the DR-5. Make sure you assign the trunk answer, and make sure that the CONTROL PHONE is the one you are turning it on with, then under RINGING PHONE, set the DN of vmail.
You are right Elephanthead, it is different in DR-5, but will still work.

Thanks alot I must have overlooked the ringing phone option when I was programing the night service, I will try it tonight. I've got the control set for the 5 inbound lines set to the recptionist phone, I just need to tell it to ring the startalk rather then the control set.

Ah yup, that is true. That should fix you up.
