I just inherited a 3300 and have a huge laundry list of little things to work through
I have already found many of the solutions I need here on this Forum.
You guys really know your stuff.

I just got to one that I don’t know what to look for.

Symptom: When operator station (4025) is placed on night time, the phone rings and rings and rings.
(Even if no one is calling.) How can I stop the ringing?

Hi Bill3rd, I am sorry I cant help you! Maybe you can help me. If a caller is put on hold how can a person silence the ringback (ie. it rings back once in agents ear but 16 times in caller and then caller hangs up). Thank you AJK

That I can, just fixed something simular with incomming calls to an extension that did not forward to VC.

Use the Feature Access Code Assignment for Call Forwarding - Busy (Ext. & Int. Source) to send the caller to VC or to another extension.

Ooops, did not read it correctly.
This is more tied with the Music on Hold, which is on my list, but have not gotten to yet.

telly do you not have rads and music on your
system?

Hi CWC3, I am talking about hold recall. The only rads and music I have are on the integrated nortel system. Thanks for trying to help. Also, thank you Bill3rd. AJK

I am confused when someone on the mitel side
of your acd is put on hold the client gets ringback?
i am trying to help!so I must understand.

What happens is the agent answers the phone and then puts the customer on hold so they can make a quick call to a hotel, for example. While the agent is on another line with the hotel the agent hears one ring from the call being on hold while the customer hears multiple and finally hangs up as the customer doesnt realize they are still on hold. Thank you CWC3 for your help. AJK

why not put either a rad or music on there so they will know they are on hold y'know ITunes on hold

Well, I am not really sure how but it sounds like a great idea. I will start looking into it. Is that the only way to stop the phone ringing? Thank you for your help. BTW did I answer your question today in the other posting? If not please clarify and I will explain what I did including loads etc on the nortel. AJK

hmm you guys are having all the fun with the big toys
I wouldn't be able to help you there?

I hate to try and stop this thread on the Hold issue, however I still need a clue about my original question about night line ringing.

Any Ideas?

so you are saying that when you put your
system in to night 1 mode you are getting phantom rings
do you get any display info on the display when
the phone rings ?

Display varies from a Voice Mail ports to actual trunks.
Since no one is in the office after hours, not even the trunks should be ringing at the station, just going to through the automated attendant.

The ddi number comimg into the building, where is is pointed to? say for example calls are ringing 5000 set up a mailbox 5000 and reroute all calls on night 1 to go through to the voicemail group.
This way all calls will go to a mailbox and your then able to set up a auto attendant.
