Hi, does anyone know if there is a method of night switching an IMX without using the switchboard ATTCON?
One of my customers wants to do away with their attcons but still requires to night switch the system to change the RCS classes at night.

Thanks

per documentation, day night service is only controlled by the att con. bummer, one of the 2000 features they should integrate into the 2400.

There's alot of things NEC should do to make their switch more installer/user friendly as well as feature compatibility across the range.

Actually, there's three ways in the 2400 to enable night mode.

1) At the master ATTCON. When it's switched, the whole system is switched.
2) If you have multiple ATTCONs, then they must ALL be in night mode for it to enter night mode. (This allows you to have multiple ATTCONs on a system, and it doesn't enter night mode until the last attendant leaves)
3) A hard-wired switch. The switch can be physically located anywhere....

Hi gbaughma, the client wants to remove the attcons entirely so in point 3 with the hard wired switch, what hardware is required within the IMX and also the programming steps. The manuals are very vague with this option.

Thanks

I'd have to do some more research on that... as I write this, I'm half-way through my 2400 class down here at the NEC Headquarters in Texas. :)
