Night Service with Outward Restriction


Night Service with Outward Restriction prevents unauthorized after-hours use of extensions to
make external calls. When this option is programmed, only authorized operators can activate and
deactivate Night Service, and only authorized users can place external calls. Authorized users can
generate only one external call at a time.
A system operator must enter a password to activate or deactivate Night Service. When one
operator activates or deactivates Night Service this way, all consoles are put into Night Service. If
Night Service groups are assigned, Night Service is activated or deactivated for all groups and
cannot be activated or deactivated independently for each group. When the Night Service feature
is activated, enter a password before making a non-emergency outside call. When you have
entered the correct password, the system checks for calling restrictions assigned to your extension
before allowing the call.
