Hello,
It's been awhile since I have administered a BCM.

BCM 50 with Call Pilot(not sure of releases but at least a 3.0)
8 POTS lines
Customer is just now asking to use the AA/VM after 5 years and I had to walk her through things(over the phone) manually via the TELSET programming. It was a ton of fun. I have things working as requested except for the dreaded "0 out to the general mailbox" issue.

They are not requesting a DAY AA and want a NIGHT AA to be used with a button on Ext. 221. Due to the nature of the situation, I was trying extremely hard to avoid using CCR. Things work fine when the SERVICES is ON. Night greeting answers, plays options, etc. and at the end of the script we put "To leave a general message(Mbox 100 on Ext. 221)please press 0". Customer prefers that this option not ring, but go directly to general mailbox. Here is my dilemma.....if I have her use F984 on Ext. 221, then that intercepts the inbound call and it doesn't reach the NIGHT AA. If I lower the number of rings on Ext. 221 then the general mailbox is answering too quickly in the day time.

Is there any feasible work-around without invoking CCR? Thank you in advance.

At 5PM do F982 and make the Operator "not available" and calls will dump to GD.

But will this intercept the inbound call and prevent it from hitting the night AA greeting? I will be trying this tomorrow with the customer. Lastly, does F982 require a password? Sorry, but it's been awhile for me and Nortel. Thanks in advance.

Mission accomplished!! I actually hit it by accident but you won't hear me complain. It requires one simple change. When I called in and hit the Night AA, I pressed the star key and was immediately prompted to enter the mailbox that I wanted to leave a message for. We recorded the AA to say: ".....to leave a message in our general mailbox please press *100." Tested it and it works great. I sure wish I would have known about this 10 years ago. Thanks for all the input.
