Merlin Legend 7.0, merlin messaging 1.0

I've read many of the old posts on Night Service, but am not finding the solution I need.
The request seems easy enough. They want the phone to ring a few times and then go to voicemail during the day, and go straight to vm at night.

Everything seems to be working properly except the day message is still heard when the night button is pressed. The message is recorded properly and the vm is set to be controlled by the switch.

As always, Thanks for the help.

I'll post the print of the groups and the night service below.

Make sure EVERY operator position on the switch has a night service button and that ALL are activated for night service - otherwise it will not work. This is designed so that even if one operator is still available - calls would go there instead of to night service.

Also, assign your voicemail group (770 or whatever) to night service AND assign all lines that you want to go to night service - to night service (801,802, etc. or pools)

I assigned 770 to night service along with the lines.

The other operator isnt used. She just covers the main operator. Maybe I should remover her as an operator.

However, when the night button is pressed on ext. 110 an incoming call will ring 1 time and go to voicemail. But the voicemail they hear is the day menu not the night.

You need to either remove the other operator position from system programming - or put a night service button on the phone and activate it along with the night service button on the main operator console. When you assign the voicemail group to night service - it is under group assign. But - the reason you are not going to night service is because of the second operator position.

How do I remove 114 as an operator. I keep trying, but can't.

menu, system programming, start, operator, positions, direct line, enter 114, delete, store all. The system will restart. Then, double check: press menu, system programming. Only one operator position should show up.
