Night Service Question

Hi Guys,

This might be a simple one for someone.

I'm invoking Night Service with a key on a 5324 Set. The Key is set as a speedcall **51 to turn on Night Service and on another key **50 to turn it off. Neither key is illuminated so in effect you can't tell from looking at the set whether Night is invoked or not, unless I dial the feature code **6 which queries, the Night Service status. I

Is there any other way to do this, so either the Night Key is illuminated or the phones display show NIGHT SERVICE or similar,

I don't have a console and don't want to go down the automatic Night Service route....

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Occam's Razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution is the right one.
 
I have lodged a design change request for exactly this issue
- still in progress though.

As a workaround what we have done instead is that if the night service just redirects a call to voicemail for example. Then you can assign a user speed call to do a call forward follow me remote

eg if ext 300 is the main number and 800 is the voicemail pilot and **5 is call forward follow me remote

on the button you have **51300800

then when it is set the multicall appearance of 300 will be lit solid because it is call forwarded.

That way they know it is in night mode.
No good if ou need to multiple routing changes but its bettr than nothing.
