I've got a new MICS system with a T1 line for LD and POTS for local.

We've got no problem with the night service on the POTS lines, using either the night or evening schedule (Night is set to ring at all secretarys when rec'p is gone). The problem is that the LD (800-number calls come in on this trunk) will not ring anywhere but at the Rec'p.

We've got to be missing basic. Anyone have any clues?

Thanks,
Westley Annis

how is 800 number coming in..on trunks or dnis

It's coming in on DNIS, I believe.

Here's the specs from Sprint.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

· T-1 span with Channels 1-24(voice) Direct Dial and Operator
Services( 2way)/Fantm
· Sprint Lead DSO Circuit # : 5568XXXX
· Sprint DS1 Circuit #: 5570XXXX
· Telco local loop Circuit #:28/hcgs/XXXXXX//sw
· Sprint Switch #:XXX
· Sprint Trunk #:XXX
· Framing:ESF
· Line Coding:B8ZS
· Circuit Information: 4 wire termination/EM start
· Timing: Sprint provided
· Signaling: Wink Start/DTMF

Due to our Norstar vendor, we did have Sprint start sending the digits 393 with every incoming call.

I'm not sure the vendor is totally clear on this, but they said in their testing everything looked ok on the first incoming call, but things failed on the second incoming call.

Thanks,
Westley

how is norstar configured...needs to be 3 digit recieved length "with 393 assigned as the digit recieved" and auto answer if using the recieved digits..then the line number associated with the said recvd digit would need to be assigned to any sets needing to ring and in service modes if using for nite ringing...or get a new vendor...this is all i will give for free

Sounds like the line with 393 is not part of the ring group.

I'm having the same exact problem with an MICS and PRI with startalk flash. I checked line settings for rining service an it will not accept lines 001-023. What am I forgetting?
I know it simple.

With PRI the call should be comming in on a Target line not line 1-23.

Thanks Hawk I will check target 156, but what should be the control for this line?

Target 156 (main#) is assigned and I chaged the control set to none to get the calls to stop begin answered by gen.derv. or 221 (att set)
