Night service on an older Merlin Legend

I have documentation for Merlin Legend 7.1. In the documentation it shows how you can assign individual lines to either have night service or not through the GroupAssign under the Night Service option. I am programming an older system that does not allow me to assign lines in Group Assign under Night Service. It will only allow me to assign extensions or group calling. Is it assumed that all lines assigned to the operator will go to night service when night service is turned on?

I think that's the way it was on the older ones.

What are you trying to do?

Perhaps we can figure out a fix.

Well, here's the deal. There needs to be one line that will not go to the automated attendant on their Intuity Audix when Night Service is enabled. This must be a line on the system so that multiple phones can ring after hours and on the weekends. This needs to be done so that if someone comes in on the weekend and trips the security alarm, when the security company calls all the phones in the office will ring so the person entering the building can answer and give the security company the code. I'm guessing what needs to be done is having the line removed from all operators (they have 3 operators, 134, 136 & 137) so that when night service is enabled it will not go to it. I'm new to night service on the legend so I'm not exactly sure how it's supposed to work. From what I gather when you create a night service group, it corresponds with an operator. When the operator goes to night service mode, all lines assigned to the night service group will cover to all extensions and/or group calling groups assigned to the night service group. If the lines option is not available in Group Assign, I'm guessing all lines programmed on the operators extensions will go to night service when night service is enabled. Am I anywhere close to right? I've read the docs a few times already. Thanks!
