Hey guys, just started working with phone system and this thing is driving me nuts. Cant seem to figure it out.

We have the messenging module, and a night service button which we use for after hours and lunch. everything works if they call in the main number, however when the main number is busy, the phone company has it hunt to the next number in line, which somehow by pass the night service and ring. I cant seem to find a setting to handle which line the VMS handle? i checked the ASA line and all the line is assigned to ASA. not sure exactly what i am missing. I am assuming the rest of the line attached to the system is not assigned to the VMS/Night service.

if you can please provide the actual system # code to enter as i am still trying to learn and understand the system

Also is there an step by step tutorial to set these things up from the ground somewhere? i cant seem to locate it. Mainly just need which step is needed to do to configure it from ground up.

thanks you in advance for the help

Lines get assigned to the Auto Attendant through #206-7-(line number)-1

Rings to Answer in #506-(1=Day/2=Night)-(Line Number)-(Number of Rings)

Answer Always/Night Only/Day Only in #507

thank you for your response,

#206, i have all line assigned
#507, i have always for all lines

is ASA same as VMS? night service pick up these setting too? I have all line assigned to ASA. I dont understand why when call comes in on other line, it's not picking it up but line 2(the main number) if on night service will pick up everytime

#207 it wont let me access it.
