just picked up a new customer who has an 0x32 and flash talk

they are using two ringing services a day and a night.

during the day service (ring group 001)the system sends calls straight to a CCR tree.

the night service rings (rg002) several sets 3 times and goes to the receptionist VM/general delivery mailbox/extension 1000 maibox, which is also the control set.

what they want is for it to ring the sets at night then go to the CCR tree. I tried a couple of things but no luck,
any ideas how I can make this work. i have very limited experience dealing with night service. what does the etradial setting do?

If you want a delay for answering, do not use a ring group. Use "normal ringing" and set the voice mail to answer the lines on a 4 ring delay.

Make sure any ringing phones are set to go to mail box after 3 rings or they will over ride the AA. The default for stations is 4 rings.

Sorry I should have said after 4 rings, you will probably want to set them at 6 or change the AA to answer after 3 rings. 6 Rings is the next option after 4, if both the AA and a ringing phone is set to 4 the call will go to the ringing phones mailbox.

Silver, whenever I set AA to 4 rings and extensions to 4 rings, AA always catches the call.

AA normally wins indeed.

This is how I would do this..
Service Modes
Day = Night Ringing / Group 001 (voice mails DN only)
Night = Evening Ringing / Group 002 (the 3 DN's required in the ring group)
Change the Schedule name from Night to Day under Common Settings

AA/lines 4 rings

Cap/Sets CFNA 4 rings or higher

The service modes are ass backwards because the client wants a human to answer at night but not in the day.
