I've never been able to figure this one out. Have a night ringing service which sends calls to AA.(simple, right?) Would like a delay so Caller ID info can be recieved before AA answers. With the VM port assigned under a ringing service it will answer immedately. Cannot use forward no answer because General Delivery will answer. System is set to normally answer lines after 4 rings or so.

Working with CICS with Startalk Flash. (same issue issue with Call Pilot)

I don't think what you want is do-able with analog caller ID. As you seem to be aware, the caller ID info is transmitted durring or immedialtly after the first ring. I think the only way to do what you are asking is very user-unfriendly. Don't use a night ringing key and just change the AA to anser at two rings at night. This doesn't seem to be an issue with PRI.

Right that's what I thought..but you can't really make the receptionist go in to VM programming and change the number of rings for each line twice a day. Usually I just leave the number of rings the same all the time. A night service can be nice but then Caller ID is sacrificed.. Just wondering if anyone had a workaround.

I think that feature was on the christmas wishlist the people on this site made.

No workaround that I know of either ...
