Night service affecting call forward on M1??? 2

I have a problem that I've been tracking down for some time now. I have a user that forwards her desk phone to her cell phone after-hours. Lately, however, it doesn't work when the console is in night service. The number will ring to our main number, which is an auto-attendant after-hours. One weekend, I tested un-forwarding and forwarding the phone to no avail. The phone would ring as normal if it was not forwarded, and it would send calls to the main number regardless of what number I forwarded it to. If I forward the phone to another internal phone, it would work. The number being forwarded is a DID number, so I'm wondering if there is some default route for forwarded DID numbers while in night service. She has a 3903 phone, if that makes any difference.

Any help is greatly appeciated!

make sure you have cfxa in the class of service of the phone and check parameters in cust data block as you will need to have it allowed threr too!

After further troubleshooting, I don't think it is able to forward external for any external call. (Trunk to trunk basically). An internal call will forward as needed. It was thought to be related to the night service because people will only encounter the problem, after-hours, when they go home and need to call from the outside. This line is only used for employees needing help-desk assistance, so it is usually called internally, except after-hours. I appologize for leading astray!

With that in mind, would my TGAR setting affect the ability for externally forwarding an external call? How can I look at the settings for each trunk access restriction group?

BASICLY IF THE TGAR OF THE PHONE MATCHES THE TARG OF THE ROUTE THE CALL IS BLOCKED. CHECK THE OPT. AREA OF THE CUST DATA BLOCK TO SEE IF CFF OR CFO IS THERE.

chaosnla you should only use CAPS for the switch prompts and replys and use lower case for everything else, it is concidered impolite as using CAPS is shouting.

I will check the OPTS section of the CDB and post what I find.

Thanks,
Mike

I see CFO, but not CFF. What exactly is "call forward forwarding"? The doc is rather vague! Could that be my problem with forwarding an external call to an external CFWD number?

Thanks again for you help!

CFO is Call forward using the NCOS/TGAR of the originating caller, so check your trunks to see what there NCOS/TGAR is. Or change CFO to CFF which is call forward using the NCOS/TGAR of the phone that is call forwarded to the cell phone.

Many thanks to acewarlock and chaosnla. That did the trick!
