i was reading over some of the night service, night ringing threads here
and to be honest, having a brain cramp
i'm having a bit of an issue i need to re-learn myself on

i'm sure (ok, sort of sure) i have had customers where i set up night services on a button
they would push it when they went home
whatever time of day that was.

and i THOUGHT it kicked in the night portion of the CCR tree
ie play a different greeting (we're closed now)
and a different CCR tree (than the morning and afternoon portions)

i had a system crash last year and the new one i put in, they just tried that and it didn't do as i mention above...
they went to go home early last night and hit the button and someone called back in and said its still playing announcements and ccr messages like they were open
comments welcome
i'll dig out the manual again and start reading

Best way to say this is the KSU night service is only to tell a DN or group of DN's to answer right away when invoked manually or by it's own schedule.
The greetings and schedules under Table in the voice mail system decides which greeting would play during the set times should a call be directed to AA.

Hope that makes sense.

yes, makes perfect sense, this new guy has me going around in circles
making me second guess myself
need to go on site and whiteboard with him once and for all
he gets me down so many rabbit holes

thanks CC

You can force the night greeting to play by going into F982 and changing the business open to No.

Thanks Marv
thats probably the simplest solution to the issue
it'll probably happen twice a year and I've already spent too much time getting this all set up for every situation he can think of

i'm having him toy with it today

thanks
