I was recently asked to re-program a Norstar 6/16 with DR5 software. They want a Night Services button on the main phone to activate night ringing on certain sets. The receptionist insists that she used to leave the system in Night, her phone would ring and the phones that were programmed into the Night Ringing would start ringing automatically after 2 or 3 rings. When I program the Night ringing those phones start ringing at the very first ring, I don't see where I can make any programming selections for anything else. If you can help much appreciated.

Night Service works exactly like you just stated it. If in Night Mode then any phones in that Group will ring on the first ring. I'm not sure what the receptionist was referring to. Maybe the call rang at her phone and then they had her phone set to FNA to another extension after 3 rings. Then put an Answer DN of that extension on all the other phones in the group. I don't know of any other way.
