I have a general longstanding problem on BCMs setting up night service. If i use autoattendant the timings and destinations are taken care of just fine by CCR trees etc.
Not everybody wants AA though.
If i dont use autoattendant i generally point target lines at hunt groups for day ringing. Manually forwarding a phone with the target line on it works fine for night messaging but i would like the option of a timed night ringing switch so that incoming calls ring on different or additional extensions in the business.
I have gone through all the programming in scheduled services and set up ringing groups etc.At the allocated time the appropriate " Service on" message appears on the control phone but the ringing occurs on the same extns as before ie those in hunt grps not the additonal phones i have put in ring grps.
The hunt grp phones are set for ring only (not appear and ring)so that is not the problem. The timetable is cutting in at the right time in scheduled service so its not a timing problem.
Any ideas of what i might be missing? Have i got the right idea that ring groups are for phones that you want to ring in addition to the normal routing?
I have done a search and cant find an explanation on this forum but my apologies if it has been covered before.
Phil.
