We have an issue where the night ring is getting turned on and the receptionist swears she is not doing it.

The phone system is common among departments and the one is question belongs to City Hall. I just noticed that there is a button on the city hall phone for sethuntgroupnightservice on the City Hall receptionist phone and the same on the Library phone.

We have recordings in Voice Mail Pro under modules called VMCHattend (city hall) and Lib Attend (library).

I am trying to figure out how each department controls their own night ring.

Looking under the Hunt Group I also see a group with the same name as the VoiceMail Pro modules as well as a Library and City Hall group. But the group names that match the VM pro names do not have users in the extension list like the other groups.

Confused I am !

Thanks in advance for any comments.

spell it out more clearly. Take the time to give specifics, one dept at a time. ICR destinations/fallbacks, HG HG/fallbacks, AA names, group mailbox names, etc.

I thought I did. So lets just deal with this question.

Two phones have a button programmed for sethuntgroupnightservice. But they are supposed to activate different night rings. How do they distinguish between them.

Rich

each button sets a hunt groups status based on the hunt group number assigned in manager in the tele number field for the button.
