This is a request I got from a customer.

"program incoming calls (when on night ring) to ring about 10 times to allow the call to rotate throughout all of the designated stations i.e. IC 13, 35, 11, 27, 22, 23, and 24 as an aid to determining who picks up on the call."

The console for this night ring is ext. 27.
A OPERATOR 27 DGCG #: 771
A STNS : 27 13 35 11 22 23 24
A LINES : 801 802 803

How in the world do I make it do what he wants?
Oh yeah, the overflow settings for 771 are 1 ring and 99 seconds.

You don't.

It can ring all of them at once.

-OR-

You can put them in a LINEAR CALLING GROUP, but that means the calls will not overflow, 'cause once a call is delivered, it is not eligible to overflow.

Right now the VM picks up after one ring. He would like it to ring at least 10 times before going to VM.

Well, the easy, tried and true way is to put those lines in another CALLING GROUP (ANs set a MBOX Class of Service -or- TYPE to be Auto Attendent) with OVERFLOW to your VM group.

BUT - DO NOT PUT THAT GROUP IN NIGHT SERVICE -

That way, calls will go there after the DELAY PERIOD.

Which pretty much should meet their requirements.
