Business owner here. I own a veterinary clinic and have the SV8100 with a bunch of NEC 12 button phones. I am somewhat familiar with the on-line IP programming that involves choosing holidays, etc. As of right now we have a standard "night mode" (mailbox 002) message that never changes. The day message when we can't get to the phone is mailbox 001. When we close it goes straight to night mode. If it is a Holiday we have those days set to be closed and the night mode message plays all day. For special instances (such as those Holidays) I will record a custom message to mailbox 003 and then manually turn on override to mailbox 3 during those times and turn it off when we re-open.
In a couple weeks I will be hiring another veterinarian and we will be alternating weeks "on call". This would necessitate that the after hours message be different every other week. The only way that I know of doing it at this time is to have my alternate message as the greeting for mailbox 003 (the custom msg) and manually turn it on/off from week to week. I'm wondering if there is a better way of doing it to where I can establish another mailbox greeting (say mailbox 4?) that is specific for my associate's time on call and tell the system long in advance the weeks I want that message played and then only manually override on special occasions with mailbox 003.
I apologize if this question is elementary. I used to have a guy that could help me with the system but he moved away and now I've been forced to learn the programming myself. I've found the lengthy programming manual online but realize it seems to be written for individuals that are seemingly more familiar with the systems before starting. The online programming is just a whole bunch of numbers and it takes me quite a while to figure out the patterns and what they mean.
Thanks!
