Hello all,

I have noticed that our on hold message for our night ring has 6 options. Transfer to different departments and the main message itself that indicates tot he consumer those options, how do i revise these options and find the extensions and how would i change the message for one of these options?

I know that sounds confusing, but I am stumped on the locations of these items.

Thanks for your time :)

call pilot or merridian mail?

Thanks for the reply john

I have Meridian and located the issue. It was located in Voice Services Admin and it had a voice ID..i just called 5487 and entered the ID of 6000 and the password and was able to change the greeting.

I appreciate the reply. this forum is a big help!

you can change those from the screen, option 3 4 then 6, go downto the voice prompt and hit more details, that gives yo a chance to enter a dn, the switch calls that dn, and use the screen like a recorder, play listen delete etc. i use that feature to verify a menu service when i'm build it.

do you type the greeting in when the switch calls the DN?

no once it calls the dn, your in the same area as prompt maint, it's calls a phone, then you can press play (from the screen) record etc. ivr is used to change txt into speech but the mm does not have that software, excel does, that's my intrenal greeting.. excel with echo

how do i obtain excel w/ echo for MM?

or is excel another mail system? Im am very new to the PBX and AX, trying to get all the info i can to help the business

Thanks john

excel voice prompt are hidden under the tools menu in most newer excel files, i have used that speech tool more then most i have had access to, excel is not a meridian feature, but a microsoft software

i follow ya. how would i import the file into meridian?

i just use the recorder feature and a soft phone, i've seen it done with a handset placed on the spkr, but you get more background using that method. since i have cisco softphones, i use those.. not a bad device if you don't mind a full spkr phone only, if the boss starts yelling, a little hard to pick up the handset
