NIGHT MESSAGE ON VOICEMAIL

A CUSTOMER CALLED ME TODAY AND ASKED ME THIS QUESTION. THEY WANT TO CLOSE FOR LUNCH AND HAVE THE VOICEMAIL SAY THE OFFICE IS CLOSED (SAME NIGHT MESSAGE).IN SCHEDULING OPTIONS CAN I HAVE THE NIGHT MESSAGE PLAY MORE THAN ONCE A DAY.OR IS MY ONLY CHOICE TO HAVE THEM DO A TEMP. MESSAGE EVERY DAY FOR THE WEEK.
 
If all they want you to so - is to play the "night message". Simply press the "Night Service" button on the operator phone - as you leave for lunch - and turn it off when you return - to put the system back in "day" mode. If you have not set up a "Night Service" button - then do so - only on the operator phone. When the button is active - the "Autoattendant's "Night" Menu will play. When the button is "off" - the "Day" Menu will play.

The night service button is being used to turn the system on and off.Can the scheduled night message be programmed to play more than once per day.
 
You have to press the "Night Service" button on/off manually. It cannot be programmed for more than once a day using the "time control" schedule.

Structure the DAY message to say "Thank you for calling XYZ Company. Our normal business hours are 8am to 5pm, Mon. thru Fri. We are closed daily from Noon to 1pm for lunch. If you are receiving this messsge during normal business hours, we are assisting other clients. If you know your party's extension number......."

Set up your NIGHT message as normal.

Set the Auto Attendant to follow the weekly business schedule, make it answer delayed with the Night Service making it answer immediately.

The Night Service button will determine how many rings before answering, and the Business Schedule will determine which message plays.
 
Thanks,thats what I had decided on. We decided it was easier to leave everything the way it was and just change the day menu . Thanks
