night button kxtd 8/16 12/32

need to program the night toggle button on a phone. Through the laptop on our test kit works fine however you cant do it through the phone. According to panasaonic however, ver 5 user manual 'customising your buttons' if you press program - 99 - dss button - 8*00 - auto store, this should work, however you end up in the VTR option, anyone know a way round this?

its program 99 press the button you want to program
and the 73 store ...don't know were you got the 8*00 from

in the euro zone as far as i can remember we use 8* but not 8*00
havnt done it by hand in a long long time

if you are hiting 8 and it shows vtr on the screen you are in the amerzone

im in the uk so it will be a uk system, what is amerzone? When you press 99 then 8 your straight into vtr so an optin to press * does not exist, so to clarify its program 99 then 73 and store and you have a night toggle button?

ive tried program - 99 - ds button i want (24 in this case) - 73 (the 7 brings up conferencing, the 3 does nothing) store and it gives me a conference button, the other way program - 99 - 8* - which again locks up after putting 8 in, any more ideas?

and pgm 99 button 2 780 store (off)

cw3, cheers for that, already resorted to that, just annoying though that the toggle button cannot be programmed as this gives a light indication showing when night modes on, bit fussy the customer!

hard to tech someone when your software doesn't match
did you try setting a night button with software?

matter of laziness really, cutomers some distance away so awkward to justify going out to reprogram a button, just annoying that it says it works in the manual but in reality it dont!
