NICI Corruption on NW5.1 SP6 Install

Getting a
NICI CCS: FATAL Initialization error
after installing SP6
followed instructions TID 10065538 at support.novell.com to re-install NICI but still getting the error?

Server has now been down since 18:00 Fri28.03.03 and can't get it back up even by loading devices manually and stage booting the server.

Any ideas? I'm under pressure?

Sometimes this can also occur if the server cannot mount any volumes (especially SYS) for any reason. You may have to check your SCSI driver configuration in your STARTUP.NCF and see if that loads manually. -----------------------------------------------------
