Good Morning
For the nice veterans
Could I reinstall the logger preserving audio files?
Its there some hope if I run disk utilities on the logger to mark the damaged sectors?
Is there any tool apart from the nice toolbar, which allows me to scan recording files?
See more of what happened:
I was recovering the audio stored at the logger disk, the unit has very worn tape units that are failing too much, so it was taking out of production (at last!)
To test the tape units (2) I tried to first restore a tape (I do not why I did not started for backing up my current audio!)
During the recovering of the first tape a message appeared
“failure in hard disk 1 (633)” and “disk is full”
Seems the hard disk reached the end of its shelf life
I did nothing rare, just the usual recovery process.
After that I got to DOS to check the IP address parameters, accidentally I run a .bat file that is inside the bin folder, I don’t remember what file was it, but it start to show lines of text in the screen so I stopped it by ctrl-alt-del
When the system booted I got a big problem when querying the last recorded calls
“specified audio not found (34)”
As the logger says, there is“no audio”, anyway, the disk is full… full of what?
There is no single audio files fetching every channel of the system.
So, For the nice veterans
Could I reinstall the logger preserving audio files?

Thanks a lot
